Age 91

Beloved husband of the late Lorraine.  Loving dad of Carol (Tom) Thompson, Linda Okonowski, Diane (David Smith) Martin, John (Geralyn) Okonowski and the late Joseph.  Beloved father-in-law of Lola Okonowski.  Cherished grandpa of Mark (Shannon), Sarah (Aaron), David (Kendall), Mike (Danielle), John (Caroline), Robert (Ashley), Katie, Olivia (Pat), and Anne.  Adored great-grandpa of Emerson, Riley, Ava, Michael, Cameron, Julian, Gabriella, Maria, Pascal, and Blaise.  Dearest uncle of Jim and Tom. Dearest friend Judy McLean and many others.

Gerald was a dentist in Dearborn Heights for 40 years.  He truly loved fishing, his cottage, and being on the water.  He was very dearly loved and will be deeply missed by many family members and friends.

Visitation Friday 2 pm – 7 pm with a 7 pm Rosary at the John N. Santeiu & Son Funeral Home in Garden City. In state Saturday 9:30 am followed by the 10 am Funeral Mass at Church of the Divine Child in Dearborn.
