Geraldine (Knapp) Balewski. Born January 6, 1928.Gone to eternal life, June 2, 2015 at her home surrounded by family.Preceded in death by her husband Albert T. Balewski, her parents Peter and Agatha Knapp, her son-in-law Paul Kwiatkowski and all of her siblings:Genevieve Knapp Solak, William Knapp, Kathryn Knapp Grzanowski, Veronica Knapp Lipinski, Bernice Knapp Chope, Carole Knapp Dolemba, Leona Knapp Hajec and Chester Knapp.Dear Mom of Claudette (Tim) Pilon, Paulette (the late Paul) Kwiatkowski, Kevin (Kathy), Keith (Linda), Kirk, Darrin, Marylynn and Patricia Collins (her flower child).Cherished Busia of Alicia (Rick) Kennedy, Melissa (Brian) Dziak, Ted (Andrea) Kwiatkowski, Margaret (Kent) Fisher, Albert, Mary, Miranda (Aundre) and Lorraine (Marty).Also will be missed by her great grandchildren Brandon, Brayden, Colton, Alexandria, Jericho, Jackson, Giano, Sophia, Vivian and Aneilia.Beloved Auntie Gerry of many nieces and nephews and their families.Finally she will be missed by Sheila, the barkingest dog in the world.Mom was slowed down in her later years by COPD, but she was a loving, positive influence on many lives.Viewing will be at Hackett-Metcalf Funeral Home, 2640 Monroe Blvd. (near W. Outer Drive), Dearborn, MI 48124, on Sunday, June 7 from 2:00-8:00 p.m. and on Monday, June 8 from 1:00-8:00 p.m. with a Vigil Service at 7:00 p.m.Instate Tuesday, June 9 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Albert the Great Catholic Church, 4855 Parker, Dearborn Heights, MI 48125 until the time of the Mass at 10:00 a.m.In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Mom's memory to the Capuchin Soup Kitchen, 1820 Mt.
