Gervase A. Taraskavage , 79, died peacefully Sunday morning, the 25th of November, after a long battle with caner.

Gervase was born in Minersville, PA and served 4 years in the U.S. Navy. He later married Theresa.

Beloved husband of Theresa. Loving father of Rosemary, Robert (Colleen), Diane, Patricia (Don) and Joseph. Grandfather of Jana, Ellen, Kelsey, Anna, Steven, Brian, Reily, Sean, Christopher, Brady and Kevin. Great grandfather of Owen. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. He is preceded in death by 3 brothers, Joseph, Edward and Albert, and 5 sisters, Adele, Evelyn, Florence, Violet and Josephine.

Gervase lived a joyful and selfless life, deeply committed to family and friends. He will be remembered for his generous spirit, creative talents, humor and wit.
