Giuseppe was born on March 9, 1928, to Francesco and Antonia (D'Agostino) in the town of Rosarno in Calabria region of southern Italy. He served in the Italian Army as a Radio Operator 1948 - 1949.He immigrated to Canada at age 21 with his brothers and settled in Windsor, Ontario where he lived and worked until he met Filomena in Dearborn, Michigan through his uncle. He married Filomena on June 21, 1952, who also immigrated to the United States from the central Abruzzo region of Italy. They both became U.S. citizens in 1950.They lived in Dearborn, Michigan until they moved to Dearborn Height, Michigan where they raised their children. He learned the English language quickly and worked at Ford Motor Company until he retired. (01/30/1953 - 01/01/1984).

Family was his number one priority always putting his family first. His passion was his garden with abundance of vegetables and fruit trees. His garden grew smaller as he aged, but still had tomatoes and peppers right before his death.

Giuseppe and Filomena enjoyed going to their cottage in East Tawas, Michigan where they enjoyed fishing, walking, cooking and baking. Most of all enjoyed when their kids would join them with their grandchildren. They traveled to Naples, Florida in the winter months from 1987 until 2010 where they met many friends, and he became the cook for all the parties at the condo complex where he stayed.

Giuseppe was a lifetime member of the Dearborn Italian American Fraternal Club where he volunteered his time to cook sausage at the Dearborn Festivals.

In 2010 he survived open heart surgery and could not travel to Naples, Florida anymore so he joined the Senior Citizen Center where he played Pinochle every day with friends from St. Albert's Church. It gave him joy baking with his wife and sending many cookies to friends, family and his doctor.
