Helen M. Pardy (nee Grech), 89, passed away on March 20, 2018 at Oakwood Common in Dearborn, Michigan.Beloved wife of Samuel Pardy for 68 years, she along with her husband, was born in Detroit where they raised their children in the Woodbridge neighborhood before moving to Oakwood Common a few years ago.Besides her loving husband, she is survived by six children and their spouses, Michael (Sara), Stephen (Sara), Kathleen, David (Heather), Daniel (Gerald) and Dennis (Monica); six grandchildren, Matthew (Kate), Alex (Lauren), Nicholas (Julie), Luke, Madeleine and Samuel as well as three great grandchildren Jolene, Lillian and Coraline, and many nieces, nephews and longtime friends. She is predeceased by her five sisters and brothers and their spouses.Helen will be greatly missed by all, but remembered for the love she extended to family and friends alike.We will all remember those cherished experiences we shared with her like the events she planned for their 50th Wedding Anniversary and her 80th Birthday celebration.Besides being a devout wife, and mother, she was also involved with grassroots community organizations that helped sustain and improve her unique historic Woodbridge neighborhood.Family and friends are welcome to gather on Friday, March 23, 2018 from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Hackett-Metcalf Funeral Home, 2640 Monroe Boulevard, Dearborn, Michigan. There will be a Rosary at 7:00 pm.A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, March 24, 2018 at 10:00 am at Ste.
