Helen Ruth (Loveless) St Peter passed away May 1, 2026 at her home in Garden City, Michigan. She was 82 years old. Helen was born December 5, 1943 in Fairbanks, Alaska to Reverend George Henry Loveless and Helen Leonore (McIntire). Her family served as Christian missionaries throughout Alaska until they moved to Michigan in 1952 when they settled in Detroit and where she continued to reside until she retired to Garden City. Helen spent most of her professional years in the service of others. She was strong in her faith throughout her life. She is preceded in death by her parents, George and Helen Loveless, her husband, Edward St Peter, and her son-in-law Lester Collins. She is survived by her sister Katherine (Loveless) Chabot, daughter Debra (Sheko) Collins, son David Sheko (Janet), son Daniel Sheko (Sheri) and grandchildren; Jeffrey Collins (Trent), Sarah Sullivan (Tom), George Sheko, Zachary Sheko; and nephew Michael Chabot (Gail). A graveside service will be held May 7, 2026 at 2pm at Woodlawn Cemetery in Detroit where she will be interred alongside her beloved parents.
