Age 87

Beloved husband of the late Sandra 'Sandy' for 43 years. Loving father of Cathy (David Viall) Hufnagel, Lydia (Robert) Synowiec, Brian (Diana), and Andrew (Teri). Cherished grandfather of Eric, Joshua, Amanda (Alex), John (Kimberly), and Alexandria. Great grandfather of Jackson, Gus, Belle, and Piper.

He was an active member at Guardian Lutheran Church with the Works Committee. After 35 years he retired from General Motors. Hilary enjoyed family vacations in Tawas, Michigan and loved spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He enjoyed walking at the Henry Ford Museum and Greenfield Village and loved golfing and bowling. He was a big fan of Notre Dame Football.

Visitation Wednesday, 2pm – 7pm at the John N. Santeiu & Son Funeral Home. In state Thursday 10 am followed by the 11 am Funeral Service at Guardian Lutheran Church in Dearborn.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to Guardian Lutheran Church Memorial Fund.
