IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Irene Mary
Ruzycki
September 6, 1917 – March 29, 2019
Irene M. Ruzycki of Livonia, MI passed away peacefully to walk with Jesus on March 29, 2019. She was surrounded by loved ones at the time of her death.
Her influence, compassion, and love were felt by many throughout her 101 years on this earth. She was born in Detroit, MI to Simon and Salomea Wlodarcyk and was sister to 12 siblings.
Irene truly loved sports. She played basketball, swam, and was even asked to play as a left-handed pitcher for the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League in the 1940s. She was a true Tigers fan!
Together with her late husband of 62 years, Casmer, they owned and operated Cass Beer Store in Detroit, MI for over 50 years. They loved serving their neighborhood community and bringing smiles to many friends and customers along the way.
She was a loving mother to and is survived by Carol Naibert, Tom & Catherine, Dan & Kathleen - and is smiling down from heaven now with children Casmer & Suzie, and Jerry Naibert. She always enjoyed the company and feeding her 9(15) grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren: AnnMarie & Chris Baker (Steven, Matthew, Caitlin), Paul, Andrea & Jim McLeod (Keith, Douglas), Joe (Thomas, William, and Pamela), Dean Naibert & Mary Randinitis, Mike & Sarah (Lilly, Michael), Michelle & Dave Powell (Gwendolyn & Judah), Kristen & Dan VanDoorne (Delilah & Logan), Daniel and Helen.
She was loved by all her family and friends and will be missed dearly.
