Irene Siedlik, 88, passed away October 10, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. Irene was born October 22, 1929, and is survived by her beloved husband, Robert, whom she met in kindergarten and married in 1950. Irene and Robert shared 68 wonderful years together. Irene was a dedicated, loving and loved mother to Mark (Sherry) Siedlik, Denise (Jeff) Berthiaume, and David (Cathy) Siedlik. She was proud grandmother to Lauren (Eric) Bryan, Matthew, Rachel, and Caroline Siedlik. Irene was also blessed with 3 great grandchildren; Easton, Eva, and Carter Bryan, whom she adored.
Irene was proceeded in death by her parents, Emma and Jacob Chora, and sister-in-law, Peggy Chora.
Irene is also survived by her brother George (Shirley) Chora, as well as many family and friends. She was Godmother to many and remembered them all fondly. Irene's faith and caring nature led her to be an active member of St. Valentine's church, the VFW Women's Auxiliary, and in her community. Irene will be remembered by all for her intelligence, compassion, and generosity. Irene's courage, humor, vitality, wit, upbeat and positive nature, and amazing baking and culinary skills will be greatly missed.
Mass will be held at St. Valentine's Church, October 17, 2018 at 10:30am. St. Valentine's is located at 14841 Beech Daly, Redford, 48239, between 5 mile and Schoolcraft. 313-532-4394.
Luncheon following mass at the American Legion Stitt Post, will begin at 12:00 pm. The Stitt Post is located at 23850 Military Rd., Dearborn Heights, 48127. 1 block East of Telegraph and 1 block South of Warren. 313-274-8298.
