IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Jamal Ali
Tassie
November 22, 1959 – August 10, 2021
Jamal Ali Tassie, of Winter Haven Florida, passed away suddenly in the company of friends and companions on Tuesday August 10 th , 2021. He was the beloved son of Ali Tassie and Alice Kallod.
Jamal was born in Detroit, Michigan and spent many of his early years across the border in Windsor, Ontario, Canada. Jamal's mother lost a battle to cancer when Jamal was only 8 years old. Despite this and many obstacles in his childhood, Jamal graduated from Walkerville High School in Windsor and later moved to California to pursue an education in technology. His efforts led to a rare opportunity to join the FBI. After working for the FBI for a few years, Mr. Tassie had an extensive career as an analyst in the US Drug Enforcement Agency where he worked on many high profile cases. He retired from the DEA in 2019 and moved from Miami to his new primary residence in Winter Haven, Florida to enjoy his retirement.
Jamal stayed in touch with friends and family all over the US and Canada. He was an amazing individual with charisma, wit and an incredible sense of humor. He will be missed dearly by all that knew him.
