James Thomas Fahrenkopf's Obituary

James and Evelyn Fahrenkopf were inseparable - in life and in death. The two peacefully passed away within hours of each other. It's a beautiful tribute to their 52 years of marriage and endless devotion to each other. Our dad could not bear to live without our mom. The fact that he didn't have to, gives us all great comfort.

Jim and Evelyn will be remembered for their sense of humor, kindness and storybook relationship. Their life and death are beautiful reminders for us all what true love and devotion look like.

James, the youngest of six, was born in Detroit in 1933. Evelyn, the youngest of four, was born in Cheboygan in 1935. They had their first date in 1966. And were together ever since. Jim and Evelyn are survived by their children Christopher (Angela), Erik (Linda) and Stephanie (Bill) Dimovski, their grandchildren, Nolan, Ava, Evan, Josie, Alec and Adriana, as well as Evelyn's brother James "Moose" Pappas.

Visitation will be held from 5-8pm Friday at Hackett-Metcalf Funeral Home at 2640 Monroe St, Dearborn, MI 48124. An instate will be held at 9am, followed by a funeral mass at 10am on Saturday April 10th at Church of the Divine Child in Dearborn. The mass will be live streamed at https://youtu.be/JStSzvJtL-g.
