James F. Gautz, age 78, Of Delaware, Ohio, formerly of Dexter, Michigan. August 3, 2010 at Riverside Hospital, Columbus, Ohio. He was born October 5, 1931 to the late Roy and Frances Gautz. James entered the U.S. Navy and proudly served his country during the Korean War. He retired from Ford Motor Company. He was an avid horse lover and owned several race horses; also an avid golfer and enjoyed bowling and his beloved Detroit Tigers. At times opinionated, he was always generous and kind. Beloved husband of Carolyn (Nee Morgan-Mackey) of 12 years and the late Thelma Mackey. Dear father of James (Laura) Gautz II, Jennifer Holly, William (Lisa) Gautz and step-son Gary (Sandra) Mackey. Grandfather of 8, Great grandfather of 7. Loving brother of Gerald (Marion) Gautz and Judy (Ken) Haus.
