Her Legacy … Age 93, died Friday, April 20, 2012 at Arbor Hospice Residence of Ann Arbor, Michigan. She was born April 11, 1919 in Detroit, Michigan the daughter of Ignatius James Prazuch and Stephania Jablecki. Jane married Alexander Smolarek on September 28, 1940. He predeceased her on March 11, 2010. Jane spent her life as a wife and an "at home Mom." She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, sewing, and especially tending to her rose garden. Jane said if she did not talk to her roses every day, they would not grow!

Her Family … Jane will be remembered by her daughter, Sandra (Frank) Poszywak, sons David (Louise) Smolarek, Alan Smolarek, and the late SP4 Kenneth Smolarek. She is the loving grandmother of 4 and great-grandmother of 5. Jane was preceded in death by her siblings Peter Prazuch and Raymond Prazuch.

Her Farewell … Visitation will begin with the gathering of friends on Tuesday, April 24, 2012 from 3-8pm with a Rosary at 7pm. Jane's Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 25, 2012, 10am in the Chapel at John N. Santeiu & Son Funeral Home, 1139 Inkster, Garden City, MI 48135 (between Ford Rd., and Cherry Hill).
