Janetta Beasley Berger was born March 1, 1944 to Sterling Grason and Eunice Beasley in Freeburn, KY. She went home to be with the Lord on October 31, 2011 at the age of 67.
Surviving Janetta are her husband, Meredith (Mert) Berger, 2 children – Tahnee Suzanne Berger and her daughter Saige Mandara,; Troy Alan Berger and his wife Maggie.
Also surviving are 1 brother; Therman Beasley; and 3 sisters; Corenia Philis Gene Branham; Lillie Mae Wunder; Henrietta Denslow.
Janetta has been an Administrative Assistant / Secretary since graduating from Fremont Ross High School in Fremont, OH. Her first job was for the owner president of a silk screen printing company. Throughout her career, Jan was support to the top lead person.
When coming to Michigan, June of 1984, Jan had the opportunity to be the first secretary to the Sanilac County Sheriff. When her husband's career dictated a move to Detroit, Jan found work at the American Red Cross Southeastern Michigan. Most of her career at American Red Cross Southeastern Michigan Chapter has been to assist the CEO and Board Members.
Visitation Thursday 1-8pm. Funeral service Friday 11:30am at the John N. Santeiu & Son Funeral Home, 1139 Inkster Rd.(Between Ford Rd. & Cherry Hill).
