Loving mother of Cristy Scott and Timothy Dawson. Grandmother of Kayla (Louis) Mendoza, Ryan Dawson, Kyle Scott and Kelsey Dawson. Great grandmother of Abigail Mendoza.

Janice was a teacher in Dearborn public schools for 30 years. She enjoyed spending time with her family, playing the piano, and going to church. Janis loved to study the Bible and was an avid Bible reader. She sponsored multiple children for many years through Compassion International. Janice will be greatly missed by many.

Memorial visitation Saturday 1 pm followed by the 2 pm Memorial Service at First Assembly of God in Dearborn Heights.

In lieu of flowers, family suggests memorials to First Assembly of God in Dearborn Heights or Compassion International.
