Jeanne "Polly" Gilday, 93, of Dearborn, MI passed away peacefully on October 22, 2024, after a long and fulfilling life with her family by her side.

Jeanne was strong willed but had an enormous heart and wonderful sense of humor. She was generous, loyal, and brave. She was clever and full to the brim with knowledge gained through all her life experiences. When her time came, she carried herself with dignity, strength, and full of love for her family and those who went before her. She will be missed dearly.

Jeanne was predeceased by her parents Daniel and Ida Mae Cantelo, her brothers Jack and James Cantelo, her sisters Mary Crawford and Shirley Yaquinto, her husband Martin Gilday and her sons James and Mark Gilday.

Jeanne is survived by her son Christopher Gilday, her daughters Carla Gilday and Mary Mulrooney (husband Patrick Mulrooney), her grandchildren Kelly Moore (husband Russell Moore), James Gilday, Jason Gilday, Kate Wharton (husband Daniel Wharton), Christopher Gilday and Adrianna Gilday and her great-grandchildren Faith Gilday, Jack Wharton and Grace Wharton.

No services are planned. A celebration of life will be held with details determined later. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Solanus Casey Center.
