Mr. Jeffrey Roland Fortman, of Inkster, Michigan passed away Thursday morning December 30 ^th , 2021, unexpectedly at home.

Mr. Fortman was born in Westfield NY on September 26 ^th , 1974, the son of the late John Richard & Cecelia Rose (Skowronsky) Fortman.

Surviving is his wife Heather (Barnes) Fortman, his son Liam Savage, granddaughter Elizabeth Rose Cole and his four pups: Penny, Qbert, Val & Grady.

Brother: John Fortman (deceased 11/29/2007) & Wendy Snyder: Nieces: Cassidy, Brianna, Nephew: Kyle.

Sister: Christine (Fortman) & Denis McAuliffe: Niece Britany & Teagan. Nephews: Doug & Zak.

Brother: James & Mary (Bienko) Fortman: Niece: Ashley. Nephews: Adam, Matthew & Jonathan.

Brother: Gerald Fortman: Nephew Jagger.

Jeffrey graduated from Westfield Academy and Central School (WACS) in 1993. He went on to Mercyhurst University-North East Campus to complete the Municipal Police Academy at 18 years old.

During these years he worked a variety of security jobs in Pittsburg, PA. As a turn of events, he ended up moving to Michigan closer to family and got a position with Flexible Products in Auburn Hills Michigan as a line operator and then moved into Material Handling Department. He also served faithfully in a variety of positions with the United Steel Workers.

Jeff, the little brother with a good heart. Too little time and too much to do. Always helping people out. A man on a mission. Broken sleep, not enough rest, on the go all the time. Always looked out for friends, and family, and even strangers in dire need of aid. Quick with a joke. Pretty good with off the cuff comments. If you asked anyone, their favorite memory would be sitting around drinking coffee and having conversation, even if he did most of the talking.

Jeffrey, husband, father, provider, brother, and friend. He enjoyed deer hunting, fixing just about anything and helping out his many friends. He is an all-around wonderful and cheerful guy.

He will be greatly missed.
