Jennie Lee Blanchard nee Smith Age 85

Loving mother of Helen (Ray) Glandon, Lawrence (Jacqueline), Lelia (Bruce) Wigder, Jennie McBain, Deborah Battersby, Terri Miller, Rusty, Mary Ann (Robert) Fisher, Doris (John) Sweeney and the late Michael. Grandmother of 22. Great grandmother of 31. Sister of the late Dr. Joseph A. Smith, Teresa Dolsen, James Smith, Mary E. Scarpace, the late Rebecca Takach and the late William M. Smith.

After raising 10 children she went to work at Wayne County. She worked her way up to supervisor and was very active in her union as a delegate. She retired after 25 years. She enjoyed traveling, reading, walking the mall, and her many grandchildren.

Visitation Monday 2-8pm with a 7pm Rosary at the John N. Santeiu & Son Funeral Home, 1139 Inkster Rd., (between Cherry Hill and Ford Rd.). In state Tuesday 9am followed by the 9:30am Funeral Service at St. Mary Catholic Church, 34530 Michigan Ave. W. (2 blocks east of Wayne Road).

Family suggests memorials to St. Mary's Outreach Center, St. Mary's Tuition Assistance and Cystic Fibrosis.
