Dr. Jerome E. Bartkowiak

Beloved husband of Darlene A. (Suchyta, DDS) for 41 years. Loving father of Paul (Lisa), Laurey, Deanne (Seth), and the late Jamie. Proud grandfather of 6. Dear brother of Dr. Claire Hyland.

Jerry was the son of Anthony and Martha and grew up in Detroit, Michigan. He became a registered pharmacist upon graduation in 1940 from the now Wayne State University, served proudly in the US Navy during WWII, and then attended Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine, Class of 1949. He practiced medicine in his clinic on Warren Ave, 1950-2000, and continued to make house calls to his house-bound geriatric patients until 2007. He was a life member of the Dearborn Country Club.

Visitation Wednesday 2-9pm. Funeral service Thursday 11:30am at the John N. Santeiu & Son Funeral Home, 1139 Inkster Rd., (between Ford Road and Cherry Hill).
