A life well lived, that was Jessie Louise Kennard.

It is with heavy hearts the Kennard family share the passing of its matriarch, Jessie Louise Kennard a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend. Jessie went to be with the Lord surrounded by her loving family on June 26, 2024.

She was born in Starkville, MS—Jessie Louise (as she was affectionately known) touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her. She is survived by her six children, sons-in-law, one sister-in-law, four grandchildren, two great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family. Jessie Louise is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 61 years, Ellis Kennard, Jr., her parents, William and Jeffie Lee Rives, and siblings.

Her warmth, inner strength, and unwavering support for others will be remembered by those she leaves to cherish her memory. We are not saying goodbye…it is until we meet again.
