Beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother & great grandmother went home peacefully to the Lord on October 31, 2014. JoAnn is survived by her beloved husband of 58 years, Louis Burdick. Loving mother of Linda (Keith) Balewski, Mark (Kimberley) Burdick, Karen (Bernard) Bradley and Jacqueline (Larry) Fobar. Cherished grandmother of Melissa (Brian) Dziak, Margaret (Kent) Fisher, Albert Balewski, Lorraine Balewski, Stephanie (Echasw) Stanley, Stephen Burdick, Anthony Bennett, Brandy Burdick, Emiley Burdick, Rebecca (Matthew) Bradley, Rachel (Luis) Landecho, Elizabeth Wood, Larry (Allison) Fobar and David (Danielle) Fobar and step-grandmother of Melody (Robert) Bradley, Bonnie (Patrick) Kendle, Matthew (Rebecca) Bradley and Luke (Rachel) Bradley. Proud great grandmother of Brandon, Alexandria, Colton, Jackson, Aleina, Logan, Caleb, Luis, Amelia, Ryan, Autumn and two on the way! Step- great grandmother of Naylanna, Nathan and Andrew. Dearest sister of James (Patricia) Morris. Dear sister-in-law of the Burdick Family. JoAnn loved working at Henry Ford Museum. She especially loved sharing memories with her family there. She was a member of St. Albert the Great Catholic Church for 52 years. JoAnn will be remembered by her warm smile, compassion for other people, and her strength and will to live. She always put the needs of others before her own.

Visitation at Hackett-Metcalf Funeral Home, 2640 Monroe Blvd. (near W. Outer Dr.), Dearborn Sunday 1:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. with a Scripture Service at 4:00 p.m. Instate Monday 9:30 a.m. at St. Albert the Great Catholic Church, 4855 Parker Street., Dearborn Heights, MI 48125 until the time of Mass at 10:00 a.m.
