JoAnn C. Kukla Age 79

Loving wife of Robert for 57 years. Dear mother of Karen (Jay Staiger), Kimberly (Richard) Pence and Brian. Adoring grandmother of 7. Also survived by her brother David (Rose) Bogaert.

JoAnn and Bob would have celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary on July 6th. After years of working (including time in Australia) and raising Karen, Kim and Brian, they travelled extensively, visiting Mexico, England, Germany, Spain, Italy, Hungary, Poland, New Zealand, China and the Caribbean. JoAnn enjoyed these trips and the many people she met. She often spoke fondly of the friendships made during her time in Geelong and Cancun.
Later retirement years were spent doing what JoAnn loved best – Being a grandmother. And what a Grandma she was to Jessica, Kyle, Jayson, Kait, Robbie, Krissy and Megan. JoAnn was always eager to spend time with them and hear about their various activities. She was so proud of each and every one of them.
JoAnn will be forever remembered by all who knew her as a caring and giving wife, mom, grandma, sister and friend.

Memorial gathering Saturday April 4th, 11am followed by a 1pm Memorial Service at the John N. Santeiu & Son Funeral Home, 1139 N. Inkster Road, Garden City (Between Ford Road & Cherry Hill). In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to Adrian Dominican Sisters, 1257 East Siena Heights Drive, Adrian, Michigan 49221.
