John Joseph Bachor Jr., age 81, July 11, 2013. Beloved husband of Theresa. Loving father of Rosanne, Connie (Dennis) Gray, John (Fran), Carl (Ruth), James (Angela), Marianne (Mark) Pilat, Margaret and the late Therese O'Brien. Grandfather of Jennifer, Jackie, Jane, Marijean, Nicolle, Josh, Brad, Kristen, Jeff, Scott, Carl Jr., Kevin, John, Mackenzie, Morgan, Ajax and Henry. Great-grandfather of Alexis, Alexandria and Scarlett. Brother of Jane Ingrody and the late Irene Meyer. Son of the late Helen and John. Uncle to many nieces and nephews.

John was married to Theresa for over 60 years. They had eight children together which kept them busy for decades. Most of all, he enjoyed being surrounded by his family and seeing his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren grow and thrive. His grandchildren thought he was the most generous, loving grandpa a kid could have. He will be dearly missed by his children for the example that he set, his sense of humor and his dedication to their mother. John was a graduate of U of D High and Wayne State University Pharmacy School. He began his career managing Cunningham Drug Stores. The bulk of his career was spent with the Upjohn Company where he retired after 32 years. He enjoyed woodworking, clock making and taking his kids on long camping trips. He also was a great dog lover and will be missed by his pals Lucky and Magnum.

Visitation Monday 2-8pm and Tuesday 12-8pm with a 6pm Rosary at the John N. Santeiu & Son Funeral Home, 1139 Inkster Rd. (between Ford Rd. and Cherry Hill), Garden City. In-state Wednesday 11am until an 11:30am Funeral at Church of the Divine Child, 1055 N. Silvery Lane at Wilson in Dearborn. Memorials suggested to the Capuchin Missions.
