Age 88

Beloved Husband of Josephine P. Boczar for 59 ½ years.  Dear Father of Janell M. (Fred) Hendershot, Justine A. Boczar, John F. (Heather Bone) Boczar and Joseph A. (Rebecca) Boczar.  Very proud Grandfather of Joshua Boczar, Katherine and Nicholas Boczar and Drew Boze.  Loving Brother of Patricia Gonet and the late Bernard Boczar.  Son of the late John and Josephine Boczar.  He is also survived by numerous Nieces and Nephews that he loved dearly.

John was a very soft-spoken and gentle man.  He was also a very dedicated General Motors employee for over 46 years.  Although he did not serve in the military, he was a very proud American and flew his American flag at every opportunity.  As sad as this is, he died a "True Detroit Lions Fan".  He never gave up hoping they would go to the Super Bowl.  The only thing he loved more than his family was his garden.  For years he was known for his phenomenal tomatoes which his neighbors, friends and family members greatly appreciated and he loved his hydrangea garden. We appreciate all the prayers and well wishes from everyone during this difficult time.

There will be no viewing/memorial service at the funeral home.  He will be interred at St. Hedwig's Cemetery at a later date.
