John 'Jack' Bortz Age 68, went home to his heavenly father on Monday, April 18, after a 2 year courageous battle with cancer. He was born March 9, 1943 in Detroit. Son of the late George and Claudia Bortz. Beloved husband of JoAnn for 32 years. Cherished and loving Daddy of Rebecca. Dear Step-Father of Debra Guyn and Tammy Durbin. Also survived by five grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

He was kind, loving and funny. His legacy will be his sense of humor and the joy of laughter he shared with those who were lucky enough to know and love him.

Visitation Wednesday 1-9pm with 7pm evening service. Funeral service Thursday 11:30 am at the John N. Santeiu & Son Funeral Home, 1139 Inkster Rd., (between Ford Rd. and Cherry Hill).
