Age 90

John was born to parents, Zacharie and Susanne Campian in Highland Park on May 22, 1925. When he was two years old the family moved to Detroit. He served in the Air Force Pacific Theater from 1943-1945. In 1950 he attended Lawrence Tech on a two year course in Engineering. He was active in and enjoyed working Bingo for twenty one years. On May 22, 1949 he married Aurelia who he loved for over 66 years. He had three children; Dennis (Colleen), Susan (Chris) and Michael (Mary). He had four grandchildren; Michael (Andrea), Eric (Krystin), Megan (Marcus) and Zachary and three adorable great grandchildren; Ayden, Colton and Alexandra Aurelia. He leaves behind Fini Doina and Tony Darkangelo, Fina Eva Lynn Skiba, Fina Donna Strugar and Fina Veronica Daraban. He also leaves behind several godchildren; Tom Tilicea, Debbie Dancu, George Daraban, Jennie Patyna, Larry and Christina Raquel and Anthony Darkangelo. Lastly he leaves behind his brother Reo Campian, dear friends Raymond Krisan who he knew from childhood, George Bralean who called him twice every day to see how he was doing and all his church family.

Visitation Tuesday 2-8pm with an Evening Service at 7:30pm at the John N. Santeiu & Son Funeral Home, 1139 Inkster Rd., (between Cherry Hill and Ford Rd.). In State Wednesday 9:30am followed by the 10am funeral service at Sts. Peter & Paul Romanian Orthodox Church, 750 N. Beech Daly (between Ford Rd and Cherry Hill).
