John passed away on December 4, 2019.
Beloved husband of Patricia Singelyn. Loving Dad of Mary (Brian) Sanders, Kathleen (Mike) Schmalenberg, J. Singelyn Jr. , Patricia (Frank) Olson and the late Charles "Ted" Singelyn. Proud grandpa of Andre M. Colby, Megan Nicole Olson, Jack Edward Olson, Dale Henry Schmalenberg, and Sophia Ann Schmalenberg. Great grandpa of Abel John Colby. Dear brother of Michael (Barbara) Singelyn, the late Mary Lou (John) Grant, and Charles David Singelyn.

John retired from Sunoco after 30 years of service.

Visitation will be Friday, December 6, 2019 at Hackett- Metcalf Funeral Home from 3:00pm to 8:00pm with a Rosary at 7:00pm. Instate will be at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, December 7, 2019 at St. Albert the Great Catholic Church 4855 Parker Street, Dearborn Heights, Michigan 48125 until the time of Mass at 12:30 pm.
