Age 86

Beloved husband of Marge for 64 years.  Loving father of Hugh (Sue), Kathleen (Rick), John (Deb), Tim (Jennifer), and Mark.  Cherished grandfather of Ryan (Callie), Louise, Aaron (Miriam), and Sean (Ruth).  Adored great grandfather of John, Hudson, and Ben Sullivan and Henry Sullivan. Brother of Jean.  Predeceased by his brothers Jerry, Jim and Leo, and his daughter-in-law Monica.

John was born the fourth child of five to Dan and Mary Sullivan (nee Kapanka).  He grew up in Inkster, Michigan at the Southeast corner of Michigan Avenue and Middlebelt. He graduated from Inkster High School which was located at Harrison and Michigan Avenue.  John went on to receive a Bachelor of Arts from Michigan State College and a Masters Degree from Wayne State University.  He taught Ind. Ed. for 36 years at Redford Union High School.  John spent his summers and some weekends as a Union Carpenter. He had a reputation as a "Jack of All Trades, Master of Several".

Visitation Thursday 2-8pm at the John N. Santeiu & Son Funeral Home, 1139 Inkster Road, Garden City (Between Ford Road and Cherry Hill).  In State Friday 10am until a 11am Funeral Service at Garden City First United Methodist Church, 6643 Merriman Road, Garden City (Between Ford Road and Warren).
