Joseph Vincent Goldsmith, 75, passed away on April 10th, 2024, in Dearborn Heights, MI.
Son of Margaret Goldsmith (Van Nass) and Vincent Milton Goldsmith, he was born January 28, 1949, in Detroit, MI. He graduated Edsel Ford High School in 1967 and entered the National Guard shortly after in 1970. After his service he worked for General Motors until his retirement in 2009.
He was preceded to heaven by his mother and father. He is survived by his Former wife, Karin Goldsmith; children: Jeffrey Goldsmith, Kimberly Hamel, and Benjamen Mach; and his grandchildren: Andrew and Dylan Hamel.
Joseph was a deeply loved father, cousin, and friend. He loved to play music with his friends and bandmates.Collecting vintage cars model and real. He also enjoyed collecting all types of guitars. In the summers he liked to get out on his Harley and go grab a burger and listen to good music.
While we lost our most beloved dad, many have lost a friend and loved one in him.He was a rock too many with his good advice, quirky humor, and a listening ear. For those who were important to him, he would be by their side anytime they needed him. He always took care of others before himself. There was so much more to him than just dad, though to us that was his greatest roll - he was also a friend, cousin, coworker, bandmate, artist, and the list goes on and on.
We will always carry his memory in our hearts.
