Judith Kay Powell, passed away peacefully on February 24, 2024. Born on May 11, 1949 to William and Ruth Lenhart, she was a lifelong resident of Dearborn Heights.

In 1968 she married her husband, Gerald, in a small ceremony at Dearborn Baptist Temple in Dearborn Heights. Together they built a family and raised a daughter, Melissa. Judy was a devoted wife, mother, aunt, friend, and Christian.

Sadly, she was preceded in death by her parents, William and Ruth, and her brother, Scott.

Her memory will forever be held in the hearts of her surviving family: her husband, Gerald, her daughter, Melissa (Alan), her brother William (Barbara), niece and nephew, Brenda (Jacob), William (Robin), and their families. She will also be dearly missed by many communities including friendships forged through camping, traveling, and worship.

Per her wishes, family chose cremation. A service to celebrate Judy's life will be held at Guardian Lutheran Church, located at 24544 Cherry Hill St, Dearborn, MI 48124, on Saturday, May 11th. Visitation scheduled from 10-11AM with the service to follow from 11-12PM.
