Age 82
Born February 8, 1934 to the late Morgan and Adele (nee:Rodgers) Collier was take from us suddenly on September 6, 2016. Loving wife of the late Thomas G. Beloved mother of Mark, Matthew (Dr. Lorine), Gregory (Marly), Thomas (Linda), Timothy and the late Gary. Cherished grandmother of four and step grandmother of three. Dearest sister of Patricia Daner. She leaves behind several sister's-in-law nieces, nephew and numerous close friends and neighbors.
June and her late husband Tom owned and operated Metro Pro Hardware in Ypsilanti Twp for over 20 years, until his death in 1997. She also worked at Mutual of Detroit Insurance Company in Plymouth, retiring in 2000. She had been an excellent golfer in her younger years, playing in several leagues and enjoying the game very much. June was always very interested in politics and, in another day and age, would've probably run for political office. She was an avid movie buff and loved to watch all the latest movies and critique them. She enjoyed a good meal, an interesting book and smooth jazz. Having raised six boys, and living in an all male household, June became quite a sports fan and there was always a game on the TV. Throughout all that she had gone through in her life, she never lost her sense of adventure or her zest for living. She loved her family very much and they loved her back just as much. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
