Kathleen "Kathy" Marie Franks passed away January 16, 2024, in the comfort of her home surrounded by her family. She was born December 14, 1938, in Burlington, WI to Bernice Beautling and Harry Litzler.

Kathy retired after 34 years from Chrysler Universal and Jefferson Assembly Plants. After retirement she opened trucking companies, PK&J and later J&K Transportation. In 1994, J&K Transportation sponsored the Softball B team that won the Regionals.

Kathy loved softball and baseball. She helped to coach the Girls Softball for Garden City Youth Athletic Association for many years, was a Girl Scout Troop leader, participated in all fundraising events for her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed watching her family play sports and loved watching NFL football. You could always find a crossword puzzle sitting next to her or a James Patterson Novel. She loved to collect bear knickknacks of all sorts.

Survived by: Children; William Evans (Pam), Wade Evans (Sandra Davis-Evans), Kevin Evans, Suzie Carver-Czajka (Robert), Yvonne Carver, Christi Petruski (Joseph). Grandchildren; Jennie Overman, Willam Evans, Daniel, Jenna, and Mychael Evans, Tyler and Dylan Doege Evans, Nathan and Joseph Camilleri, Caitlin Karpinski, and Jordan Czajka, Payton Watzke, and Kyle Petruski. Great Grandchildren; Alisha Rattray, William M., Jackson, and Josua Evans, Wade and Bryson Evans, Amelia Evans, and Parker Watzke.

Preceded in death by her husband, James Franks, parents, Bernice Beautling and Harry Litzler, Step Father, Christopher Beautling, Brothers, Phillip Litzler and Joesph Litzler, Daughter, Holly Nowland, Grandson, Chastin Nowland, Daughter-in-law, Karin Evans, and Granddaughter-in-law, Melissa Evans.

Kathy was a God-fearing, strong, confident, courageous, independent, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who was hard not to befriend when you met her. She welcomed all whom she met as part of her family. She will truly be missed by all.

In state Saturday, January 27th, 9:30 am until the 11 am Funeral Service at Fair Haven Baptist Church.
