Age 63

Beloved husband of Susan for 33 years. Loving father of Sheri (Michael Currie) and Cassandra. Brother of Jay Helmer and Dean (Audrey) Helmer. Son-in-law of Delphine. Brother-in-law of Steven (Jennie) Kujawa, Thomas (Sandra) Kujawa, and Michael Kujawa. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Kent was known as a dedicated and kindhearted husband and father. Loved by many, he could strike up a conversation on just about any topic. He was an Eagle Scout, a Peace Corps volunteer, and a champion of the environment through his job at the Environmental Protection Agency for 28 years. Most weekends you could find Kent fixing things around the house or attending church and his two daughters' soccer games. He loved a good book and cooking interesting recipes for his wife throughout their 33 years of marriage. He is cherished and he will be missed.

Visitation Friday 2 pm – 7pm with 6:30 pm Scripture Service at the John N. Santeiu & Son Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Vincent dePaul.

Unfortunately due to COVID-19 restrictions a luncheon will not be held.
