Lawrence "Larry" Eugene Hubert, 85, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 28, 2023.

Larry was born the eldest of 2 children to Ethyl and Lorenzo Hubert in Hamtramck, MI on July 24, 1938.  Just after graduating from high school, Larry married his first wife, Geraldine, and they moved to Inkster, MI where they raised their 5 children. Larry worked skilled trades at Ford Motor Company in Dearborn, MI throughout his adult life, before retiring and relocating to Garden City, MI.

Larry enjoyed his retired life dearly. He especially enjoyed spending time outdoors with his friends and children camping, traveling, hiking, canoeing, shooting, attending & watching Nascar races, going to outdoor concerts in the park, woodworking and spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Holidays were always a wonderful celebration with lots of family celebrating together.

Larry was predeceased by his parents Lorenzo & Ethyl Hubert, his brother-in-law Jim Rowley, his step-grandchild Jeremy Turton, and great-grandchild Gabriel Michalski.

Larry is survived by his sister Sally Rowley, his children Cheryl Hubert, Lawrence Hubert, Cindy (& David) Turton, Michael (& Carol) Hubert, and Krisandra (& Tim) Reckling; and by his grandchildren Nicholas (& Ashley) Michalski, Raymond (& Kortney) Michalski, Darin Traver, Morgan Traver, Lauren Hubert, Sophia Hubert, Laurence (& Kelli) Hubert & Christine Poirier; step-grandchildren Ashley Harper,  Robby (& Jennifer) Stratton, Katrina (& Jeff) Stratton, Jason (& Elizabeth) Turton, & Josh Turton and by great-grandchildren Ava Michalski, Jaxon Michalski, Ivy Michalski, and step-great-grandchildren Lexi Stratton, Colton Stratton, Parker Stratton, Hayden Turton, Violet Turton & Tessa Turton and by many nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at St Thomas the Apostle Parish at 31530 Beechwood in Garden City, MI 48135 at 9:30am on Thursday, Aug 3, 2023.
