Obituary

Letitia's parents, John and Anna Vezane came to the United States from Transylvania, Romania. Letitia was the youngest of 5 children, born and raised in Inkster, Michigan. Letitia began her secretarial career at Kaiser-Frazer, Willow Run. She moved to Los Angeles, CA where she worked for legal firms and rode horses on the beach. She enjoyed dancing, and sailing. She moved to Escanaba, MI, and then to Pensacola, FL, where she was partner in a sailing business. One of her sailboats was named The Miss Tish. She sailed to Bimini, and to the Bahamas.

Tish was an expert water skier, and she performed in ski shows where she would climb onto the shoulders of skiers below, to form the top of the skier's pyramid. Tish entered a Ford Dealership contest, where she won a new 1963 Ford Falcon by picking from a chest of keys, choosing the winning key that started the car.

Letitia raised her two daughters Fenelon and Lateen in rural southern Florida, working at Turkey Point Power Plant. She moved back to Michigan and retired from NTH Environmental. Tish loved dancing, and was proficient in all types of ballroom dancing, salsa, square dancing, round dancing, line dancing, country, tap. Tish was well-known in Lincoln Park and other communities as part of a dance-instructor team. Dancing was her passion. She moved to Mesa, AZ for 6 years, and traveled all over the country by motor home, experiencing the mountains, deserts, oceans, and State Parks. She moved back to Michigan after deciding that Arizona was just too darn hot.

Tish lived the last 15 years of her life in her own home, in Garden City, MI, self-sufficient and independent. She enjoyed decorating the outside and inside of her home for every holiday occasion. She was resourceful and creative. She was a seamstress, tailoring her clothes to fit her perfectly, and she always matched, from head to toe. Tish was a thoughtful, giving, caring, loving person. Tish had 4 or 5 Japanese lady friends, whom she met with regularly, and helped them practice English.

As a Mother, Tish was best friend and confidante for her two adult daughters, Fenelon and Lateen, and she was always willing to help and lend a hand with whatever they needed. Tish lived a long and healthy life and went for 20+ years without a cold or flu, as she ate healthy, fresh food, and took vitamins and supplements instead of prescription medications. She also stayed busy, always working in the home and yard. Her hands were hard-working hands.

Thankfully, Tish did not catch Covid, but those fearful years brought isolation and seclusion. Unfortunately, the isolation and seclusion contributed to an overall physical decline.

Letitia passed away one month after her 96th birthday.

Letitia is survived by daughter Fenelon Letitia Ashley (Steve McCormick), daughter Lateen Olympia Drucz (Roger), and grandchildren Stefanie Anna Drucz and Adam Philip Drucz.
