Linda Rochelle Balewski, 67, of Dearborn Heights, MI passed away on August 11, 2024 at her home with her family by her side. Linda was born on August 17, 1956, in Highland Park, MI to Louis and JoAnn Burdick. Linda was a devoted wife as well as a loving mother to her four children and Grams to nine grandchildren and great-grandmother to one. Linda always put others before herself. As a teenager Linda was a candy striper serving at the Veterans Hospital and served as the onshore ombudsman between the families and the sailors on the U.S.S. Samuel Gompers while Keith was deployed. Linda also ensured that her children and husband never went without. Linda is survived by her husband Keith, her children Melissa (Brian Dziak), Margaret (Kent Fisher), Albert (Laura), and Lorraine (Marty Wright), Sisters Jackie (Larry Fobar), Karen (Bernard Bradley), and brother Mark Burdick. She was preceded in death by her father Louis Burdick, mother JoAnn Burdick, and grandson Gabriel Balewski. Linda was an avid gardener and cook. Linda was even a finalist for best flower garden in the City of Dearborn Heights. She also enjoyed traveling and family vacations. Some of her favorite memories included her cross-country road-trip with her mom and sisters, family camping trips throughout Michigan, and fulfilling her retirement dream with her husband Keith at the helm of their motorhome visiting a number of bucket-list locations throughout the United States.

A viewing for Linda will be held on Wednesday August 14, 2024, at Hackett-Metcalf Funeral Home in Dearborn, MI, from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the Remembrance Service at 6:00 p.m.
