Age 70

Beloved wife of the late Jesse. Dear mother of Jack (Karen), Carolyn (Joe) Sopko, and Rae (Alicia) Murdoch. Grandmother of Jessie, Lara, Allison, Lillian, Lucas, James, Robert and Brittany. Sister of Steve (Colleen) Berry, Jim (the late Ruth) Berry, Diana (Mark) Merdita, Linda (David) Green, Kathy (Floyd) Roberts, John Bolinger, Kathy Murdoch, Fran Webster, Connie Murdoch, Martha Clark, and the late John Berry, Sara Bolinger, Jim Murdoch and Jeff Murdoch. Also survived by her godson Bekim and many nieces and nephews.

As a very active and involved member of Dearborn First United Methodist Church, Lorraine's myriad of volunteer activities included, but was not limited to: making a massive lasagna dinner for her entire church family every Christmas Eve; collating and emailing her own personal series of devotions each day; collecting, sorting and delivering literally hundreds of pairs of pajamas for the children at Vista Maria and The Methodist Children's Home; organizing the annual Easter Breakfast; attending a weekly Ladies' Bible Study (she never missed a week); staunchly advocating for and participating in United Methodist Women and serving as a church greeter every Sunday.

As if those activities didn't keep her busy enough, Lorraine was also a baseball usher for her beloved Detroit Tigers, where, according to her colleagues she was 'the heart of Gate C.'

Lorraine was a remarkable lady who will be sorely missed by many. Checks and other donations in her memory may be made to Dearborn First United Methodist Church Memorial Fund.

Visitation Friday 2 pm until the 7 pm Prayer Service at the John N. Santeiu & Son Funeral Home.  The Prayer Service will be semi-private due to Covid Regulations but can be viewed on Zoom at the link below:
