Lucy was born in Detroit and was a life-long resident of Michigan. She and her husband Don raised their children in Garden City. She enjoyed traveling with her family and took many trips to Italy and Florida. She also spent many summers vacationing in the U.P. and at their cottage in Meredith, Michigan.
She was an avid, self-taught crocheter who lovingly made many blankets and other treasured items for her family, all very special because she didn't use patterns, as she would say when asked, she "winged it"!. Lucy also enjoyed making and sharing Italian recipes including pizzelles, pasta, cheesecake and her own special pasta sauce.
