Age 99

Loving daughter of the late Herman and Martha (nee: Oker) Goebel. She was confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Sebewaing, Michigan, and was a graduate of Sebewaing High School 1941. As a graduate of Bay City College majoring in business, she was employed by Dow Chemical in Midland, Michigan and also by Saginaw General Motors in Saginaw for many years.

On August 16, 1947, she was united in marriage to John David Emery for 50 years. He passed away in 1997.

Luella 'Lou' was a member of Guardian Lutheran Church of Dearborn. She was a member of the Guild and helped with benevolent dinners, suppers, rummage sales, and various other activities. She also helped coordinating the monthly messenger. She enjoyed gardening and oil painting.

Loving mother of Cynthia Emery, Cheryl (David) Loos, and Gary (Sarah) Emery. Cherished grandmother of David M. (Autumn) Loos, Garrettt (Brenna Werner) Loos, Samantha M. Emery, and Serena B. Emery.  Great grandmother of Sydney M. Loos.

In state Saturday 9 am until the 10 am Funeral Service at Guardian Lutheran Church.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to Guardian Lutheran Church.
