Magdalena Predeteanu, December 29, 2022, Age 94. Born June 15, 1928, in Terre Haute IN, moved to Romania as a child and returned to the US at age 19. Upon her return she earned a B.A. and M.A. from Wayne State University, was a certified Travel Counselor, a licensed insurance and real estate agent. As owner of a travel agency, she distinguished herself as a pioneer in providing travel to Eastern Europe, developed, and specialized in travel for Senior Citizens and was awarded the highest monetary award for marketing ideas from the Canadian Tourist Office.
Marge married Dr. Constantin Predeteanu on May 20,1966 in Paris, France and were great partners in business and travel.
Marge was president of Institute Predete, Inc., a company marketing the Derma-Care Products developed by her husband Constantin Predeteanu, MD, MS, dermatologist and author of The ABC's of Cosmetics.
Activities include President of WSU Women's Alumni, Romanian Heritage Association, Cranbrook Academy of Art and many more.
She received special recognition having been listed in WHO's WHO of American Women, Distinguished Woman Award from Northwood University to name a few.
Marge was preceded in death by her beloved mother Eugenia Lupu and husband Dr. Constantin Predeteanu. She is survived by her nephew Dr. George Predeteanu, nieces Dr. Denisa Predeteanu, Georgiana, and Marge Vasile, as well as other family members.
As a long-time member and supporter of St. George Romanian Orthodox Cathedral, Marge's final wishes include donations in her memory be made to St. George Romanian Orthodox Cathedral, Southfield, MI.
Visitation Sunday from 4pm until 8pm with Saracusta at 7 pm at St. George Romanian Orthodox Cathedral. In state Monday 9:30 am followed by the 10:00 am Funeral Service at St. George Romanian Orthodox Cathedral, 18405 W. Nine Mile Rd, Southfield, MI.
