Margaret Lenore Cappelli, 90 of Kewadin and formerly of Dearborn died Tuesday, October 26, 2021 at Northern Star Assisted Living in Traverse City.

She was born November 29, 1930 in Dearborn, the only daughter of Otto and Imgard (Helwig) Frederick.

Margaret was a devoted member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Westland for many years.  She was active in the Alter Guild and volunteered for many other areas of the church. She was also a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Elk Rapids. Margaret was dedicated to her children and grandchildren.  She especially enjoyed taking care of her grandchildren often driving them to school and watching them play sports.  She also enjoyed playing cards and going on boat rides.  Margaret vacationed on Torch Lake for over 40 years before permanently moving north and making it her home.

Left to cherish her memory are her sons James (former daughter-in-law Judy) of Kewadin and David of Belleville, grandchildren Jimmy, Karra (Travis) Balogh, and Tammy Nichols.  She was preceded in death by her husband Eugene, grandson Christopher and daughter-in-law Sue.

Memorial services Wednesday, November 24, 2021 at 11am at the John N. Santeiu & Son Funeral Home.
