Margaret Schiete, born on 7/19/1933, passed away on Tuesday 8/5/2025. We are comforted knowing that she is with our Lord and Savior in Heaven, fully restored and no longer in pain. She was preceded by her beloved husband Richard Schiete who passed on 12/13/2010 after 52 years of marriage and her grandson JJ Yodsnukis on 8/24/2011. Devoted mother to Alan (Kristy) Schiete, Kent (Audrey) Schiete, Ruth Jeffery, and Glenn (Jenny) Schiete. She was the grandmother of 11, great grandmother of 21, and great great grandmother of 1.
Born in Tillsonburg Ontario in 1933 with her twin sister Muriel Weatherall, she married Richard in 1958 and moved to Detroit. She taught Pre-School Sunday School at Dunning Park Bible Chapel for over 50 years and taught with the Boys and Girls Bible Club in the Metro Detroit Area. She also taught Pre-Schoolers at St. David's Episcopal Church in Garden City for several years before retiring. She also taught at Girls camp at Upper Peninsula Bible Camp for many years and retired in 1992 when diagnosed with breast cancer.
She will be remembered for her beautiful smile, her unwavering love for the Lord and the joy she had for teaching preschoolers the Bible and about our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Visitation on Friday August 15th from 3:00pm to 8:00pm at the John N. Santeiu & Son Funeral Home. In state Saturday 12:00pm until the 1:00pm Funeral Service at Dunning Park Bible Chapel, 24800 W Chicago, Redford, MI 48239.
