Age 89 passed away on February 18, 2017.  She was born July 2nd, 1927 in Bolduresti, Moldova.  She was the beloved mother of Dr. Diana Nistor and loving aunt of Mihaela Eremia and Irina Stoicescu.  She was preceeded in death her husband, Professor Petru Nistor, parents Father Spiridon and Preotesa Maria Eremia and her brothers Victor and Anatolie.

Maria had an accomplished career in Romania as Director of Quality for chemical factories.  She left Romania in her fifties to escape the tyranny of communism and built a new life here in the United States and made many loving friends.  She will be forever missed and loved.

Funeral services and burial will take place at the Cernica Monastery in Romania.
