Marie passed away peacefully on December 3, 2021. Maire was born to Joseph and Elsie Couture on April 24, 1926 in Wyandotte, Michigan. She was 1 of 8 children; Jackie, Glen, Frenchie, Kathy, Guy, Tonto, and Sootie.

In her younger years she enjoyed spending time at the Jack and Jill Ranch where she learned horseback riding and jumping.

Marie then met Orley D'Arcangelo, they married in 1954 and had 6 sons; Joseph (Bonnie), Stephen (Sue), Thomas, David, Michael (Sue) and Ronald. Marie worked hard as a homemaker, raised her 6 boys and pinched her pennies not only to feed her large family but send her sons to Catholic Grade School.

Marie and Orley took their family to Sauble Resort in Ludington, Michigan every summer for many years until they eventually retired there. They were able to enjoy 38 years of retirement and 66 years of marriage.

Marie liked to go on Cruises with her sister Jackie and friend Joan. She was an amazing cook! She loved flowers. She loved the sun. She loved QVC. She enjoyed wearing jewelry.  She liked her Whiskey.

Marie was a devout Catholic, she and her husband went to church every Sunday together until their health would no longer allow but she continued to watch mass on TV every Sunday.

Marie was blessed with 8 grandchildren: Lori Jean, Amy, Stephen, Thomas, Michael, Kimberly, Brandon and Kyle. She is a great grandmother to 7; Madelyn, Stevie, Vincent, Lilly, Gia, Jade, Isla and one of the way.

Marie was spirited and tough woman who endured a lot in her life. She never complained and always got back up when she fell. She loved her husband, sons, and her grandchildren. Her family feels blessed to have had her for so many years. She will be deeply missed.

Visitation Thursday 1-7pm with a 6:30pm Scripture Service at the John N. Santeiu & Son Funeral Home, 1139 Inkster Rd., Garden City (Between Ford Rd. and Cherry Hill). In State Friday 12:30pm until the 1pm Funeral Mass at the Church of the Divine Child, 1055 N. Silvery Lane at Wilson in Dearborn.
