Age 74.

Michael was born on June 1, 1947. He graduated from Garden City High School in 1966.  Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Michael Bachko Sr. (deceased 1960) and Catherine (Bihun) Bachko (deceased 2000). Mike was a lifelong resident of Garden City, Michigan.  He is survived by 13 first cousins from both sides of his family, many of whom live out-of-state and in Canada.

Michael retired from the Ford Motor Company (Union 600) where he worked as a press operator and high low driver. Mike loved watching John Wayne movies and old videos. For years he was an active member in the St. Mel's parish where he also served as an usher.  Mike loved collecting coins and John Wayne memorabilia, building miniature railroad layouts, and watching early TV westerns, civil war documentaries, and World War II movies. He was an active CB enthusiast. Mike loved driving fancy cars (Mustangs) and visited many parts of the country, including Hawaii.  He especially enjoyed traveling to Western Manitoba to visit relatives and to help farm the family homesteads.

Michael lived in assisted living during these last two years at Caretel Inns of Linden, Michigan, where he died of natural causes in a peaceful repose. Michael will be interred at Holy Sepulcher
