Michael R. Bettley, age 32, February 23, 2011. Beloved husband of Sue. Dear son of Ronald & Bonnie. Brother of Bernadette(Daniel) Dochenetz, Stephen (Jennifer), Christine (Paul) Seychel, & Theresa (Matthew) Krzyzak. Grandson of John Marzec. Also survived by 11 nieces & nephews.
Michael Grew up in Dearborn, Michigan and was a 1997 Graduate of Crestwood High School - Dearborn Heights, Michigan. He attended the Paramedic and Fire Academy at Henry Ford Community College and Schoolcraft College and later was an instructor at Schoolcraft College.
A 10 year veteran with the Redford Township Fire Department as a Paramedic and Firefighter, Michael received 6 Merit awards, 1 Unit award (Responding to a House Fire - saving a 90 yr. old woman), was a Representative on Western Wayne Fire Department Mutual Aid Association's HAZMAT Team and a former member of the Western Wayne County Unit (WWCFDMAA).
Visitation (February 28 and March 1, 2011) Monday 2-9pm and Tuesday 1-9 pm with a 7pm Rosary at the John N. Santeiu & Son Funeral Home, 1139 Inkster Rd. (between Ford Rd. & Cherry Hill).
In state Wednesday10am until 11am Mass at St. Dunstan Catholic Church, 1515 Belton (2 blocks west of Inkster, 2 blocks south of Ford Rd.).
