Michael Joseph 'Canuck' Laliberte,  age 65, passed with grace surrounded by family on Saturday, 14 June. A man who shaped the infrastructure of our time, his greatest legacy remains in the wisdom, generosity, and compassion he bestowed in the wake of his many travels. Beloved husband of Lise for 43 years. Loving dad to Christian Francis (Rebecca) and Olive Hazel (Lewis). Cherished son of Lawrence and Janet. Dear brother of Richard (Robin), Anne-Marie (David), and Mary Jo (Holly). Dearest son-in-law of Norman and Patricia. Adored brother-in-law of Eddie, Renee (Stephan), Mike (Becky), Joe, Fred (Bev), Tina (Carl), Kevin (Cindy), and the late Marty (Jennifer). Treasured cousin, uncle, godfather, and friend to many.

Visitation this Thursday, 19 June from 4:00pm Scripture Service until 7:00pm at the John N. Santeiu & Son Funeral Home. In state Friday, 20 June from 9:30am until the 10:00am Funeral Mass at Church of the Divine Child in Dearborn.

The family extends its deepest appreciation to the doctors, nurses, and care team at Corewell Health Royal Oak & Oakwood. Donations may be directed to the Evans Scholars Foundation, who launched Michael's incredible career through his lifelong love of golf.
