Michael Thomas Knight, affectionately known as “Kong” to his family, friends, and brothers in the Scorpion MC, passed away surrounded by the love of those who cherished him. Michael lived a life defined by loyalty, friendship, strength, and an unwavering commitment to the people and causes he cared about.
Michael was preceded in death by his father, Ronald Knight. He leaves behind his loving mother, Cynthia Sacco; his devoted sister, Beth Haddle; his beloved wife, Debbie Easley; and Debbie’s daughter, Stevie Girl. He is also survived by his nephews, Mark (Cait) and Mike (Holly), and his great-nieces and great-nephew, Alexis, Scarlett, and Jacob, all of whom brought him great pride and joy. Michael was a dedicated and respected member of the Scorpion Motorcycle Club, where he formed lifelong bonds with brothers across the nation. His club was more than an organization—it was family.
As a member of the Detroit Chapter he was everything the club stood for and then some. He was an exceptional member who lived by the code, carrying his colors with honor and taking great pride in being a Scorpion for life.
He took great pride in riding, supporting club events, and championing charitable causes that made a difference in the lives of others.
Beyond his love of the open road, Michael enjoyed staying active through exercise, playing cribbage and dominoes with his friends, Larry, Max &Jonno, and spending time at casinos with his dear friend and “brother from another mother,” Chad. Whether sharing stories, laughter, a game, or a ride, Michael had a gift for bringing people together and creating lasting memories.
Though he lived a simple life, he lived it fully—guided by loyalty, generosity, humor, and a big heart. The countless stories shared by those who knew him are a testament to the impact he made on so many lives. The family extends its heartfelt gratitude to the staff of the Toni and Trish Hospice House for the compassionate care, comfort, and support they provided Michael and his loved ones during his final days. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Toni and Trish Hospice House to support their mission of providing exceptional end-of-life care and comfort to families in need.
Michael’s presence will be deeply missed, but his spirit will live on in every mile ridden, every hand played, every story told, and every life he touched. Ride free, Kong. Your journey continues beyond the horizon.
