Najla, born in Lebanon December 16, 1932, passed peacefully to her Heavenly home March 26, 2020. Najla, also known as Sitto, resided with her children and grandchildren in Plymouth, Michigan.
Najla was the matriarch of a large family. She was preceded by her late husband, Abdelnour Abdelnour and brother, Khalil (Charlie) Malouly, and is survived by her daughters: Jeanette (Ghassan) Khalil, Georgette (Fawzi) Tomey, Linda (Souheil) Sabak, Denise (Paul) Arida; Grandchildren: Laura (Amir) Abadir, Anthony (Rita) Tomey, Jennie (Julein) Tallo, Christine (Ryan) Sullivan, Danielle (Ryan) Pendleton, Michael (Connie) Tomey, Paula Arida, Joseph Khalil, Elise Sabak, Christopher Arida, Catia Sabak, Leena Sabak, William Sabak; Great-grandchildren: Alana, Jacob, Anthony, Nicholas and Joseph; Sisters: Sophia, Laudy, Barbara and their families in Lebanon and in the United States; Nephews, Joe Abdenour, Chawki (Colette) Sabak, Paul (Anthoula) Abdenour and families, as well as dear family friends Lori and Mark Miller and family.
Najla lived a fulfilling and prayerful life, putting God and family above all else. She maintained a resilient spirit and instilled by example in those around her principles of generosity, hospitality and compassion. Her impact on her family and community is immeasurable. May her memory be eternal.
