IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Nancy Ann
Ellis
June 16, 1944 – February 7, 2022
Age 77
Beloved wife of Michael Miekstyn for 23 wonderful years. Dear sister of Ilene Tryczynski. Sister-in-law of Daniel (Lauren) Miekstyn, David (Tina) Miekstyn and the late Gail Adomitis and her husband John Adomitis. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was very dearly loved and will be deeply missed.
Nancy Ellis was a kind-hearted, thoughtful and caring individual. While being on the quieter side, she loved to help and assist those in need. She cared for individuals in need making meals and serving them through Pinellas Hope in Clearwater, Florida. While her faith was of utmost importance to her, she made sure to share it with others as a Eucharistic minister both at Divine Child and at St. Brendan in Florida. As you can see, Nancy made time to share her compassion and devotion to all in need.
Before retirement, Nancy worked for British Airways. Her job certainly helped her appreciate and love traveling, something she love to do. While she did travel to other countries, she really loved to experience Colorado and Lake Tahoe. A very athletic individual, these destinations helped her to experience skiing, tennis, and golfing in many wonderful places. She also could be found bicycling and walking often, taking in the beautiful scenery both at home and abroad.
One of the other loves Nancy had was that of history and she was a volunteer at the Henry Ford Museum and Greenfield Village. This allowed her to help others experience the wonderful and rich history that the area had to offer.
In her down time, you could often find her enjoying a good Hallmark movie, doing Sudoku, playing a hand of cards or even challenging you to a board game. Nancy truly loved to experience time with family and friends, especially her Red Hat group. She will be very missed by her wonderful husband, Michael, and everyone who knew her. May she be at peace in heaven.
